In 2001, David Estrella was President and John D' Alessio was Vice President. Shop Committee members Gerry Rubino, Dennis Barker and Peter Dauphin completed the Negotiating Committee. David Kay was Recording Secretary and Richard Martin was Secretary Treasurer. Everett Corey was our Business Agent.

This year's contract included major changes involving the job structure and plant seniority. 

Local 587 enjoyed a 3.96% raise for this year per the contract, dated March 1, 2001.
