PRESIDENT

ALBERICO SOARES

Brother Al joined Local 587 in 2010 and served as Shop Steward in the Level 5 Assembly sequence. He became a member of the Shop Committee in 2015, was voted in as Vice President in 2019 and took over as President of Local 587 in the summer of 2023 upon the retirement of President David Estrella.

STEVE SANFILIPPO III

Brother Steve joined  Local 587 in March 2009 and has been involved in the union  as Convention & District Delegate, Shop Committee and Vice-President. He took on the position of President in 2024 upon the departure of then president, Alberico Soares, who accepted a position at the District (IAM District 26).

Brother Isau joined Local 587 in 1977 and has been involved in the our union leadership since 2007 when he became Conductor-Sentinel. He has been our Recording Secretary since 2012.
